January Weather in Las Vegas is as cold as Vegas gets. January along with December ranks as the coldest but there are plenty of ways to avoid the cold. Walking in the Sun is very comfortable. Use the side of the street where the Sun is and at night walk close to the Casino doors to steal some of Their heat from the lights and the heat they lose out the doors. Its really a nice change for Las Vegas to be chilly.

January average high is 58° F (14° C) and average low is 34° F (1° C)

February average high is 63° F (17° C)and average low is 39° F (4° C)

March average high is 69° F (21° C)and average low is 44° F (7° C)

April average high is 78° F (26° C)and average low is 51° F (11° C)

May average high is 88° F (31° C)and average low is 60° F (16° C)

June average high is 100° F (38° C)and average low is 69° F (21° C)

July average high is 106° F (41° C)and average low is 74° F (23° C)

August average high is 103° F (39° C)and average low is 74° F (23° C)

September average high is 95° F (35° C)and average low is 66° F (19° C)

October average high is 82° F (28° C)and average low is 54° F (12° C)

November average high 67° F (19° C)and average low is 43° F (6° C)

December average high is 58° F (14° C)and average low is 34° F (1° C)

There are exceptions like July 2010 set a record by averaging over 100 degrees the entire month. The 100 degree mark would already be reached shortly after 10 am and not dipping below 100 until after or near midnight. More hours were over 100 than under 100 degrees to make that record.

Example of extreme changes in average Temperatures is the Snow that came in December 2008. Not just flurries but thick heavy snow. It was a treat for Las Vegas since it is extremely rare. Most of the year you can bet on the weather being hot or mild. Remember that Hotel rates are lowest when the weather is considered extremely hot, but don't stay away just because the weather is hot, there are plenty of pools to cool off in and remember It's Dry Heat!
